This map highlights in yellow the nation’s Super Zips — those ranking highest on income and college education. The largest collection of Super Zips is around the east coast.
The Washington Post recently published this look at all the country’s zip codes and ranked them from 0 to 99 based on income and education.
OK, I’ll admit I’m a numbers guy. I had to take a look at the OKC Metro. I discovered we had one here — and it certainly wasn’t what I thought. You’d think that honor would fall to 73116 with Nichols Hills or Gaillardia’s 73142. But no! It is 73151. In eastern OKC. The median household income is $130,000 and 69% have college degrees. I do think the zip reflects its’ small size compared to others.
There’s currently only 11 homes on the market in 73151, but they average $520,000.
What do you think?
