Parade of Homes 2009 Wrap-up

Well, the 2009 Oklahoma City Parade of Homes is in the history books now. Overall, I’d have to say our experience at the Muirfield Village parade home was a positive one.

This has been a slow year in our market for homes over $500,000, which is where most of our homes fall. The Parade brought out quite a few people, especially this last weekend, including a number of qualified buyers. More than just the lookie-loos.

We also faced the problem of N May Avenue widening project. It’s kind of difficult even for the people who come here daily to get in off NW 162nd and May, but for the number of visitors we had, I was impressed that so many managed to navigate the obstacle course offered by Allen Construction on May! We had considered (tongue-firmly-in-cheek) a blow-up gorilla to put at May to attract attention, but it wasn’t necessary.

We appreciate all you folks who made it out and encourage all to come out anytime. Our homes are open Tuesday through Sunday, 1:00 to 5:00. We look forward to seeing you.
