Well, you know it’s fall when the evenings start getting dark a little earlier and it cools off. Then you hear the ref’s whistle and the games begin.
My grandson, William, plays for the Mojo on both the 4th and 5th grade teams, so it means 2-3 nights a week. It’s fun, entertaining and just a great way to spend the evening. There’s 9 lighted fields at Mitch Park in Edmond. Just about any weekday evening there’ll be 9 games ongoing.
I attached a photo album of the game played Tuesday September 22nd between the Mojo and the Raiders (their arch rival). It was a defensive struggle this year with the Mojo prevailing 7-0. This is the team they lost twice to last year! The Mojo did win the championship last year and 4th grade is undefeated at 4-0 and appears to be heading to the championship game again this year.
The sad part is, when they get to the championship game – it’s cold!!!
