I again urge you to vote yes today for MAPS 3. I am a firm believer that we need to keep this city moving forward. It’s unbelievable to me how much this city has changed and how much better Oklahoma City is viewed from the outside since the original MAPS program was launched.
From the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce:
Today is a critical day for our city. What it comes down to is what kind of city do we want to have?
Oklahoma City has always been a city of booms and busts. In our relatively short 120 year history we have seen our development come in stops and starts. These stops and starts have been the result of two things: the economy, both good and bad; and vision – or the lack thereof. We are fortunate today to be blessed with a city council pulling on the same rope with business and community leaders working hard to realize the dream we all have of living in America’s greatest city.
Our economy today is the strongest of any metropolitan city in America, but you don’t have to look too far back in our history to remember a time when that wasn’t the case. The prosperity we enjoy today came because we invested in the future, and now we must do the same. We cannot wait for forces outside the city to align, giving us the perfect opportunity to succeed. We must once again take this mantle for ourselves and continue doing the work of building this city.
Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Please vote YES and share this important message with neighbors and friends.
